BlackBerry imminent for China, says Research In Motion
HONG KONG: Research In Motion expects sales of the BlackBerry in Asia to double in 12 months and hopes to win approval early next year to introduce the device in China, its co-chief executive Jim Balsillie said Thursday.
Balsillie said Research In Motion hoped to get approval from the Ministry of Information Industry in the first quarter of 2007 to begin shipping the BlackBerry, which helped popularize wireless e-mail, to the mainland market through the company's partner, China Mobile. -- Read More

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ if this happens, it will be a major boost to both business and freedom development. I guess English will be the language on there--can you imagine trying to figure out a way to make Chinese characters on a BB? I guess they have keyboards just like anyone else, but does that work? I'd hate to have to learn suretype!
