BlackBerry-carrying specialists at this southern Ontario city's cardiac center can now receive crucial data from paramedics to determine if heart attack victims should be rushed in for life-saving angioplasty.

wow that is really cool on how they are using blackberries in the medical field. Only most cell phone dont work at hospitals how are they getting there BB's to work there?

It may not be a case of cell phones not working in hospitals, more hospitals don't want people using them because they could disrupt the monitors. My blackberry works in the hospital also in ICU, but I turn it off.
You can do almost anything with blackberry.

Cool, although the fact still remains that in order for the Doctors to get these updates, they will need to leave the BB's on. So I still see monitors being disrupted.

...sorry, I just wanted to put my 2 cents in as well.
