Everything is self contained, so even though 8100 goes into mass storage mode when you connect it via USB, it is all also accessible from the comfort of your BlackBerry Desktop Manager. The switch device wizard is a godsend for all of us who constantly change our devices -- and it is not limited to BlackBerrys, either. You can receive the word documents as attachments to emails and view them that way. Of course formating is lost for the most part.
