BIS not validating PIN/IMEI's
Discovered a problem today with the Rogers BIS 2.0 service. Apparently, if you create and account or try to change the handheld of an existing account, when you put in the PIN/IMEI combo, the site does not validate currently associated PIN/IMEI's. Instead it just steals the PIN/IMEI and associates it with the new account while causing the previous account to use 0's in the PIN/IMEI.
Example, TestAcct1 using PIN: 123456 IMEI: 987645.00.321987.0. Create or sign into TestAcct2, change the handheld to the parameters above, TestAcct2 will not have the above PIN/IMEI without objection. TestAcct1 will now have a PIN/IMEI of 0 respectively.
This issue only occurs with 2.0 accounts, legacy (1.8) accounts function properly.
Our IMS team has escalated this issue RIM, wondering if other service providers elsewhere are experiencing similiar issues?

I have not experienced this, and I work with BIS Sprint-Nextel on a daily basis for customers. Just wanted to let you know...
