Well, I'm running 4.5.0.33 on a Verizon 8330 and after grabbing the alx and cod files from the 4.5.0.37 (cdma 4.5 doesn't have msn.alx included) and altering the alx, I was able to get it to install ok. Then I was running into the error "service not enabled on this handheld". I then loaded the service books from this thread at which point I could then attempt to sign in, but then it attempts to connect for a while before giving the connection error 65 as others have seen already.

So in short, I can get it to install and run on Verizon but I can't get it to connect.

Works fine on my BELL.....8830 World Edition which doesn't have OS 4.3 on it like my 8330.

Oh, it also works perfect on my 8330 as well

By the way, I forgot where I read this but Bell Mobility was the exclusive CDMA carrier in Canada to actually have MSN available on Blackberry for some time now.

    http://na.blackberry.com/eng/services/internet/im/

Click on each application and at the bottom under "Learn More"

    click "Get the system requirements"

It's pretty much laid out which devices and carriers can use each IM application.

Also has options to download the clients.

What steps did you complete, exactly? Others have said device software 4.5 is a requirement, but your experience seems to disprove that. I have 4.2.2 as well.

    AT&T Curve Windows Live Messenger?

Has anyone on AT&T been able to get Windows Live Messenger to connect?

I've tried the web site, I've edited the first vendorID=XX in the msn.alx and had it successfully install the program.
But when I try to connect in the program I'm getting:

"Service not enabled for this handheld."

I did try sending service books and a battery pull.

    Anyone?

    Thanks

    Curve 8300 AT&T 4.5.0.37
