Yes. My company BB is on the BES. I want to know if I d-load WLM, it will work on my Sprint 8830.
Connection error (65) problem reciving data from server.. that is the error i am gettin when i try to connect any ideas?????
This is all relative with the IT Policy set forth by your BES Admin. Depending on the configuration it may or may not work. I'm not a Sprint user so I can't comment as to whether or not it will work on this network

Here is where I located msn.alx: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Shared\Loader Files\8310-v220.127.116.11_P18.104.22.168. I don't yet know if editing it works, but thought I'd tell you where it was. I'm on AT&T with an 8310.
I made a backup copy of the original and edited out _vendorID="1|100" wherever it appeared. Then I started up the desktop manager and tried to copy in msn.alx, but I got the no additional apps error.
But then I scrolled through the list and located a checkbox for Windows Live Messenger. I don't know when it first appeared. I checked it and continued and it claims to have loaded successfully.
The app is in the applications folder. I logged in and got the service not enabled for this device error. Trying service books next.
It doesn't work, but my guess at this point is because I'm on BES for my sync'ing my calendar. (I don't use BES for my work email because I have privileged group memberships - something about that prevents me from replying and it's too much hassle to get a separate account created. I use BIS for the emails.)

added the service books, now im getting the " conection error (65) Problem recieving data from server"
So if im understanding this, you have to be on the BES in order to use the new upgraded Windows Live Messenger?
Alright couple of questions:
1. What Version Number Does It Have?
2. Basically everyone with a 8320 Curve that downloaded the Beta of 4.5 already had this version i would assume...
