Here's the feedback I have given Simprit to date (yes - I was lazy by just copying and pasting my original comments!):

    • Whilst MiuTunes is (mostly) easy to use, I strongly feel that the final version of the application should have built-in help or (given the online nature of BlackBerry OS) help accessible through the "mobile" MiuTunes Internet site...

    • Whilst the splash screen doesn't bother me personally (particularly with that fancy sound effect!), I feel that some users may consider the length of time it is displayed too long...

In my opinion, users should be given the option to disable the splash screen, though I feel the splash screen should be enabled by default.

Further to this, I see a "thank you" message when I start MiuTunes - this may just be part of the beta version, but if not, it should only appear the first time a user starts MiuTunes...

    • I have discovered what I consider to be a "crucial" feature that is missing from MiuTunes - an equalizer.

In my opinion, I strongly feel that an equalizer should be present, supporting at LEAST the following modes, as featured in other digital audio players and Hi-Fi systems:
    • Live/"concert" and/or "hall"
    • Dance/techno/electronic
    • Speech - particularly useful for when listening to podcasts in MiuTunes
    • Bass
    • Treble
    • Rock
    • Custom/user-defined
    • Country
    • Classical

    • Like virtually all digital audio players, MiuTunes supports the Motion Picture Experts Group, version three (.mp3) format, but I feel that there are two other "crucial" formats that are should also be supported:
    • Windows Media Audio (.wma)
    • Ogg Vorbis (.ogg) - this is an Open Source digital audio format that many (myself included) believe to be far superior to other formats...

    • During my use of MiuTunes, I have found many of the function short-cuts illogical and I frequently find myself instead releying on the menu to achieve the task I require...

This further becomes an issue when function short-cuts differ from those found in BlackBerry OS' default multimedia player (for example, the function short-cuts to skip forwards and backwards between tracks).

For example, in BlackBerry OS' default multimedia player, a user can press "N" for the next track and "P" for the previous track; in MiuTunes, a user must press "Del" for the previous track and "return" for the next track - in my opinion, this choice of keys for function short-cuts simply does not make sense!

I understand that the reason behind this is to allow MiuTunes users to quickly skips to tracks/artists/albums by pressing the first letter of their title, but a suitable work-around would be to invoke BlackBerry OS' default multimedia player function short-cuts in combination with the "Alt" key - for example, a MiuTunes user could press "Alt"+"N" for the next track, and "Alt"+"P" for the previous track.

Certain other (MiuTunes-specific) function short-cuts could be mapped in a similar way - for example, "Alt"+"I" (that's "I" for India) for the track information, instead of the "Sym" key under the current setup.

Personaly, I find the keys in MiuTunes to be easier to use. The BB media player's buttons are randomly placed, but MiuTunes keys make perfect sense to me and I like them even more than the BB's media player.

Sent. You also mispelled the email (blackberry, not blackberrry) but I fixed it in the invite.

Anybody having issues running Miutunes on 4.5 OS? I installed Miutunes on my 8800, however when I click on the app, the splash screen comes up, then is closes. No menu nothing. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app, battery pull, restarted my BB, all to no avail.

    Any suggestions?

Okay, I have one invite available - requests can be sent by PIN message (just click on my PIN) and it's first come, first served...

I'll need an e-mail address that you use on your BlackBerry, as the software is installed OTA (over-the-air; wirelessly).
