ran into a bug last night. i had read someone post on here about AAC support, and the mention that aac takes up less space. while i was loading up my moms ipod last night i noticed that 350 songs took up 399 megs when ripped as AAC

looked at my berry and noticed 323 songs were takin 1.7 gigs...GEEZ.

so i started converting to AAC in itunes. I only got one album done cause i needed to go to sleep, but what i did was, convert the music (which itunes put into a folder on C:/) delete the original music out of the Album folder on the MicroSD and replace it with the new music.

went back to miutunes and went to the album and of course it woulsnt play, duh it wasnt the same file, so i went to the file explorer and had it update the library

it now showed two entries per song and of course only one entry would play

i tried restarting miutunes, restarting my berry, battery pulls all to no avail

    any suggestions

Did you entirely remove the original music files before transferring the converted ones?

I would remove and replace all the old music files first before installing MiuTunes.

Do a battery pull or soft reset after the right music files are on your BB's memcard. After that then install MiuTunes and have it add the music.

    Let me know what happens.

This is really a great program, I love it! Only problem I've seen is that my album art doesn't transfer when I drag and drop my songs from iTunes.

Yeah the site said only 10000 downloads would be allowed for beta testing I believe. After that its by invite only. I could be wrong but I think that's what it said when I first registered at the site.

One question to all the testers here. Who has this working on an 8120? My 8100 is having issues. I'm sending it back but demanding an 8100 as an alternate handset exchange (I've had 3 8100's).

If it plays aac format, shouldn't it be able to play my purchased itunes music?

Whilst they may be the same format, there is a BIG difference between format x and format x with security... It is quite common for digital audio players and software to play a particular format in its unsecured state, but not its secured state.

It does carry over. It carried over to my phone with the album cover.
