Bell's 8130, possibly the most "manly" Pearl to date?

In past some of the male BlackBerry users shy away from purchasing the Pearl esp since the Pink releases (Verizon and O2). Maybe the new Pearl 8130 from Bell injects a bit of masculinity by way of it's dark single color design? You decide...

Looks great "on picture". However, I have to see it in person before I can say more about it. Because after seeing how ATT's official picture of 8100 compared to the real phone in person, I don't trust those offical/demo pictures anymore. ATT's pearl looks light years better on picture than acutal phone.

    BTW, great find, Hayden!

Manly looking...however I find it funny that in the poll it's self.."masculine" is signified by the color pink lol.

Has almost a 'Graphite' look to it.

I think that judging by the picture, it looks manly enough to me.

I have to second that...its called a PEARL. And what gender comes to mind when you think of pearls?

    Enough said...

    C'mon everyone,

Are we so insecure in our masculinity that we think the Pearl is just for women?

I've seen many men in a corporate environment using a Pearl which they were able to select by choice.

The Pearl has it's advantages (or disadvantages considering your viewpoint) over a bulkier device.

It's all about preference - not gender.

A BB is a BB, and we all have something in common regardless of what particular device we choose.

I agree with wxboss. A BlackBerry is a BlackBerry. I don't care what model you pick. Each one has its own set of features that appeal to a certain audience. However, I have only seen a few men here in Houston with any of the Pearls. Most men here have the 8700 or the 8800.

Only person I can clearly remember is a guy that works at a summer camp I go to. He has (or had when I saw him...he may have changed since last year) the AT&T 8100. I pulled mine out when I saw his and we got to comparing and contrasting our variations LOL

I also know someone who has the Nextel 7100i and is desperately waiting for his contract to end so he can move to the 8830 LOL

Agreed, since when did the normal BLACK pearl become less masculine than dark purple? hmm..

That's a pretty sweet phone......notice the "dark" pearl (trackball) as opposed to the "pearly white" ones on all the other models.
