Interesting! Can't wait to see the episode of AMW that has the cop chasing a perp while on his BB... Or the stories of "How my Blackberry saved my life...". You know...person shoots cop, BB stops bullet!

Seriously though, if this truely helps combat crime and is not as waste of resources and money...I'm all for it!!!

I think its a great idea.... Cops are not always near a squad car that has a computer and they dont always work(go figure). Especially good for smaller departments who dont have their own servers to access info immediately on a suspect. They can link to another departments servers and info quickly.

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~this is great I think, both budgetarily and practically. Bike and horse mounted cops will gain considerably from it. The only shortcoming is that not all small municipalities will be able to take advantage if they have less than ideal coverage.

I agree. It can be a great service to a police department and to the officer on the street.
