9/25/2007-RIM Experiencing Issues Again...Email Lags Reported

Yet again it has happened.

Some may notice that emails are coming in very late or not at all.

It's confirmed this is an issue that currently all of the carriers are reporting.

It is a RIM issue, not a carrier issue.

Logging into your BIS and resending service books probably will not work at this time, as many people are reporting if you attempt to log into the BIS, you get stuck in an endless "Processing, please wait" loop.

Fix ETA: N/A
Email Accounts Effected: 3rd party emails: Gmail/Yahoo/Hotmail/Comcast/etc
Email Accounts NOT Effected: blackberry.net
Addtional Services Effected: POSSIBLY Data browsing, BlackBerry Messenger, 3rd party apps that rely on data.

***Also reports of EDGE and GPRS coverage dropping down to edge and gprs, which may or may not be included in this issue.

Just received 15 emails in a row...First in the bunch was sent at 149pm...most recent was sent at 3:07pm.

Arrived at my device at 3:43pm.

my emails stopped coming at 12:46PST have yet to see anything new come thru...

On Verizon in Idaho, not having any issues here...for whatever that's worth.

i am only seeing a small effect, seems like some of my emails are coming fine with little to no delay - others are longer. I did notice a ton of emails coming in when i got home tho.

Hmm...

Funny thing is, this looks like it is NOT effecting the blackberry.net email addresses.

I just sent test emails out to:
2 gmail accounts
2 blackberry.net email accounts
2 yahoo accounts
2 hotmail accounts.

Only one that made it through was the blackberry.net email accounts...which would explain why I have been getting the subscriptions from here.

I did the same thing, one yahoo account went through and my blackberry.net went through. i was going to say my gmail accounts were running fine until i tried this. All emails were sent from the pc.

just got my other yahoo email...took about 15m, none of the gmail emails

Seems like a total stoppage for me on Tmo BIS in Denver, CO.

No Gmail, Yahoo, blackberry.net or OWA work emails.

ofcourse i just got a message on my blackberry.net account that says it was sent at 4:36pm. For me it is randomly hit and miss.

Same here with Telus in Quebec, Canada, service will go from 1XEV to 1x or 1xev

Uh oh! I didnt know that this was going on and I have been in front of my computer very little today. I am here now and looks like I have missed some important emails I was waiting on.

Thanks RIM, now lets see if I can get done in 45 min what i need about 4 hours to do.
