    Zen w/ Sprint's 7130e

Hey guys... I got the Zen theme on my Sprint 7130e. Couple of questions.

Are there any updates that provide CDMA network info (e.g. 1XEV) ?

Does this theme have the ability to show the number of message next to the folder like it does on the 8700 (e.g. when you get a 5 new messages the mail folder is lit up with a 5 next to it) ?

Does the 7130e have a keyboard shortcut to get to the ringer profiles?

    Thanks for your help.

Any chance you could point me to where you downloaded the Zen from?? I'm thinking maybe I need to return my BB to factory default , then reload the Zen.

I must have loaded the Zen wrong the first time using the App loader, I downloaded the latest 7130e Sprint OS from BB d/l site. Loaded the software and then installed Zen using the OTA link. It now is acting normal, (showing network ID, and #'s next to new messages).

I couldn't imagine using the 7130e with any other OS Theme. I recently had to give up my 8700c after the company moved from Cingular preferred to Sprint exclusive. Hopefully Sprint gets the Pearl or 8700 soon!

Best thing to do is make sure you are in good data coverage and install it over the air using this link (edit I don't have rights to post a link) so...

www dot knology dot net /~acidmax/ blackberry/7100_today/ 7100_dimension_zen dot jad

Just e-mail it to yourself then follow the link that way you don't mis-type it.

Once it installs, reboot your BB, the go to Themes, and select Dimension_Zen theme.

PIN me if you need more help.

the theme will seperate your SMS messages, and also provide you a work space far more efficient than the standard themes. (all of course IMHO)

I only use my BB for emailing, contacts, and calender. I do not use it for phone for SMS. My question is does it pay to use the Zen theme then?

    Re: Zen w/ Sprint's 7130e

I think what your asking is it of value from a user experience stand point to use the Zen theme. That really is a personal decision on what you feel makes your Blackberry use most efficient. For me I like to keep my SMS/Mail organized, and do not like to have all of the icons on the main screen. I used this theme with my 8700c and had to migrate to the 7130e. So ultimately I became very comfortable with this theme, like the asthetics and navigation.

So to answer you question -- it really is a personal decision.

Use the theme for a week or so and then decide. It's very easy to change back

The only thing I don't always like about ZEN, it's pretty harder on the battery then any other themes

Thanks for the help I'll give it a try for a week or so and see how it plays out. So there is no performance difference with using this theme?
