Icons not changing under new Themes...

I'm looking for a way to make all my Icons for the 3rd party software act like the Theme that is active.

i.e. I have Smoothie in the active state and the 4 3rd party icons that I have do not dim when not hovered upon. They stay the same.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. PIN me if you have any ideas.

The third party icons are not changing because they are not part of the default theme. Any icon not part of the theme will take on its own actions, meaning it will not appear dim while the rest of the icons do, and it will not take different shapes like the rest of the icons do. Does this help?

It does and thanks. Now, is there a setting for those icons that I can change in order to make them dim when not selected?

When a theme is created is when the icons are able to be manipulated, but only the icons that come on the phone originally. When you download Yahoo Messegner for example, the icon cant be manipulated because it is something you downloaded and does not come with the BB by default. The creator of the app decided how the icon will look on your BB.

Once solution is to put them at the bottom of your app list. You will have to scroll all the way down to see them, but that leaves all the dimmed icons at the top, and the non-dimmed icons at the bottom.

Well there ya go! That leave the door open for the uber-developers here to build a utility that will allow you to change the behavior of the icons or even change the icons in general.

    Thanks again for the help!

clm, Somebody was trying to do just that a while back, but never got it to working. The 3rd party Apps icons are contained in the installation files and I'm pretty sure you would have to have the source code for the App to accomplish what you want to do. Now it would be nice if all 3rd party app developers would include both transparent and translucent Icons in addition to the full bore Icons.

Hope this helps, at least explains it.

Excellent idea! I'm going to post that in the theme forums (of course giving you proper credit).
