    7130e vs. 7250

I just saw that sprint is now offering the 7130e...right now I have a 7250. Anybody who's had both- which do you like more? The 7130e looks pretty nice, but I'm just a little unsure about the keyboard.

You'll have to try suretype on your own to get a feel for how it is. I don't really like it but that may be because im use to qwerty already.

I've had a full keyboard BB before and I personally prefer the smaller package of the SureType BB's. If you can, go to a store and play around with the 7130, as this is a great way to get a short term feeling for the SureType series BB.

It takes time to teach the SureType program the words and phrases you want to use in your messages but it will learn (unless you manage to learn it all in one day which I did as I had lots of time to play with my first 7100t when I got it LOL). Don't get discouraged by the mixups such as "get vs hey", "are vs see" (my personal favorite LOL), and others. It will eventually learn the differences. Just be sure to proofread your messages before you send them or get either BBSpell or BBCorrector which are spell checkers for the BlackBerry.

I second what Erica said. Ive used both types of keyboards and I prefer the suetype in the long run. Again, personal preference, so get your hands on the 7130 and try it out, then make your choice. Good Luck

The 7130 has the same specs as the 8700, just the keyboard is different. So it's definitly an upgrade for you. I played with it a bit at the launch party in Toronto, and I love the size (think razrberry) but the suretype kills me, as I've been using qwerty blackberries since the beginning.

Thanks all for your help. I guess you're right- I'll have to get to a sprint store to try it out myself.

I have had both and I love the 7130e it is easier to use and easier to talk on in my option it does not feel odd. I had the 7250 on Nextel to try it out and once I found out the 7130e was out I turned the 7250 in. I would not go back for anything. You can text message on this one a HUGE plus because the 7250 screwed up a couple of folks phones I was trying to text.

I got a 7130e and within two hours I called Sprint to do an ESN swap back to my 7250. After playing with the (unactivated) 7130 another few hours, I'm starting to like it and I'm getting pretty quick with it too. The thing I would miss the most about my 7250 is all the shortcuts I've learned to use. Also, the 7130 is really light. Almost toy-like. That leaves me wondering about the build quality of the device. I thought the Intel processer in the 7130 would make it quicker than the 7250, but I didn't notice any difference in the speed of the OS or the browser. The screen is also a plus for the 7130. I'm still on the fence about choosing one.

I recently received a 7130e for my birthday and I love it. There were two deciding factors in my choice of the 7130e over the 7250. First, it feels a lot like a phone. It's not that awkward to take calls. Second, the display is 10 times better then the 7250. Good luck with your choice.
