    Download Pics on 8700

I am fairly new to the BB World, had a 7290 now a 8700. In my job I need to be able to view Pictures of houses that I have saved on my laptop from time to time. How get them from my laptop to my 8700? What 3rd party software will allow me to do this?
    Thanks

hi folks, fairly new to this as well
aren't pic tranfers as easy as using bluetooth, or does the new 8700 carry the same limitations as the 72XX series?
how about simply emailing pics to yourself? can't this work? why the additional software?

    Hi gator12,

If you just want to store and view the images, you can send yourself an email with the image attached. On your BB, open up the image (select "Open Attachment" from the menu). With the image open, you can save it to your BB (select "Save Image") from the menu.

In order to view your images, use the Pictures application.

    I have a couple suggestions.

If you have a Verizon account, you get a free email account (username@vzw.blackberry.net), and you can email them to the phone.

You can use the DM to transfer images to the phone via USB.

You can use Bluetooth to direct transfer from the PC to the BB.

However, in all these choices, you're going to be limited to how many you can store (that's the only downside to the 8703e, limited to 64MB of storage ) .

Another option to keep your memory free is to post them to a website or storage site that you can access over the 'net (www.picturetrail.com for example). If you're doing real estate, they are probably already hosted on a site. You could even do a little preparation work, and before you leave your PC, you can copy the URL link to the photos you want, put them in a .txt file, and send them to your BB. Then copy the URL from the .txt file to your browser to bring up the pics. Or use the DM to create a "note" and send it to your BB with the URL's in the "note".
