cherriciodo that's a good idea, but if she found out she would kill me. She is still sore that I changed our phones from the Nokia 6800 (with the full keyboard) to a flip phone 3 years ago! She likes the Pearl, so a happy wife makes a happy me.

Re: YAY New OS - Rogers 4.2.1.94

Ok guys I checked like 14 pages of this thread first and couldn't find an answer to this question, so sorry if it is redundant.

I am running Cingular .71 on my tmo phone and frequently have the really annoying standby incoming call freeze some people experience. If you don't know what I'm refering to, chances are you haven't experinced it. Anyway I use standby rather than key lock (I hate having to press 2 keys every time I wanna make a call) and sometimes my phone freezes when I get an incoming call while it's on standby. This is a pretty well-documented problem and the only solution I've ever seen posted is to upgrade yr os.

SO... I am hoping this is a software prob and this Rogers upgrade will fix it. Anyone who was having that issue notice any improvement post upgrade? I don't want to go thru another upgrade ordeal solely for some just noticeable differences.

    Thanks!

    Verduinski

I love it now after having issues with the following:

    1) JiveTalk http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com..._problems.html

(I had to delete and reinstall this one)

    2) Not being able to type links (check out pages 12-16 of this thread for my rant and eventual solution) and finally

    3) DM not seeing my Pearl at all

The other issues were resolved by deleting and reinstalling DM

I haven't had that issue since Cingular .71. I did upgrade to Cingular .73 and stay on it until this new OS. I did briefly upgrade to TIM 1.66 but had way too many bugs for me to stay. I'm very happy with this OS. Runs great! I have yet to experience the incoming call freeze from standby mode. I only use standby mode, and it hasn't happened yet. Although take into context I don't talk on the phone very often. All my calls I have been able to answer.

    Hope this helps.

I had problems on the previous two releases of this (TMI, Telstra) but this one is running fine. No more voice cut-out issues on T-Mobile.

Guess you missed the first 20 some pages of this thread. I would HIGHLY suggest you go back and read them all before you do the upgrade starting on Post 1 - so you know what other users have to say about it, and you know the process to do it.

how much free memory do you have on your device? No problems here with any OS version I've installed.

did you try deleting your service books and having them resent, followed by having a couple of pic messages sent? this happens to me occasionally and that is what usually fixes it for me.
