For everyone wanting to upgrade your device to this OS, here are the instructions. you MUST follow them or the upgrade process will NOT work

please do not post in here that you don't know how because i know for a fact that the directions are in this thread a few times at the very least

Another problem I'm having with the new os is the multiplay mediaplayer does not recognize any of my ringtones, videos, or music. I really like the multiplay and would appreciate any help!

    D'oh!
Just found out that my new laptop is BT transfer paranoid as Pearl is...
First tought was that new OS on Pearl is guilty, and BT transfer is not working.
But BT transfer works both ways, I just have to do confirmation on both sides... on Dell Latitude D620 and on Pearl.

Yes Cherry multiPlay is a 3rd party application. The player is alright....its supposedly full screen but the amount of real estate it covers on video is about the same as the Pearl's own media player....the only difference being that you don't have the annoying skin that the BB's player has. With mp3's you get the option of making different playlists for your selections. Unfortunately, you get to make more than one playlist only in the pro version....as opposed to the free version.

For some reason I can't even get this new OS to download on my computer past 13% and I've been trying since lastnight! Granted this is the first time I have decided to update the OS i'm still running on .60. Guess I'll just have to try again later tonight after work.

Yes multiplay is a 3rd party app and I'm using the free version, but when I had .166 I could not use dm to upload mp3 and avi, it does not recognize rem files.when I upgraded to .194 I guess that's what turned them back to rem files because of dm reloading everything I had on bb. I had to do it from hard drive. It recognized the mp3 and avi files and then transferred to my bb. I might have to erase all my mp3 and avi(1.3 gb worth) and do it all over again (which would really suck) but just thouht someone could help!

I had the same problem as you did Glen, with the multiPlayer till I upgraded to the Rogers OS. It now recognizes all my avi and mp3 files and I can even make playlists of different kinds of music. I'm going to experiment a little more with that function when I have more time. Maybe reinstalling the multiPlayer will help you with your problem?
