I am having a problem with xPlayer that i have just downloaded.. for some reason ... BlackBerry Pearl forum
I am having a problem with xPlayer that i have just downloaded.. for some reason it can only find songs on my device memory (SIM card), and since i only have the default one, with like 10MB of storage on it thats not very useful. Most of my songs are on my media card (or micro SD card)... is there any way to make it so that xPlayer pulls out the information from the media card rather than the device memory?
and another question, are there any other media programs that people recommend? I just want to listen to music, and thats the only program i need because Media Player kind of sucks right now.
When you hit the Menu button (button to the LEFT of the trackball) and select Add Add File/Folder, you should be presented with two folders - SDCard/ and store/.
If you're not seeing SDCard/, reformat the SD card on the BlackBerry, and put your music under the BlackBerry\music folder once it's done.
I was also facing problems with XPlayer.
Whenever I try to load any file it get message "Access to file system error".
What must be wrong and how can we resolve this?
~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~
Yogi, yet uninstalling it and redownload it. If it asks you for acess to the call logs let it.
I had this problem too when I installed xplayer. I solved it by restarting my BB after install. If that doesn't work try a battery pull. After that you should see your media card in your folder list.
yes, i tried pulling the batter and also reinstalling xplayer from another user-- straight to the file, not from the site, I don't know which one worked but one of them did. thanks guys!
Have you tried reformatting the SD card - on the BlackBerry?
Thanks I will do that asap.

ive got the new version and it plays my music great but nothing comes up when I try to play videos. I've tried 3GP and MP4.
Do you have the mass storage mode enabled?

First of all, video files are supposed to be adapted for xPlayer. You can use BlackBerry Converter to do that.
Secondly, make sure you have the necessary codec files on your BlackBerry.
Hope this helps,

ill post feedback after trying the new version.
just dled it....havent had the chance to listen to music but it looks like a lot of settings were removed...like the way files are listed there are only 3 options as on the other one i think there was 4...and also...only gray and default themes available where as on the other one there were 3 others...
i dont see what the "update" was unless it was performance wise...which in that case 1.0 was pretty awesome so i dont know how it would improve that way
