    Wine Damage

Don't ask how, but I've managed to spill some wine onto my one week old 8130 . So far everything has been working okay. No white screens or anything. My only problem now is that the up direction on the trackball seems a lot slower.

Does anyone have any suggestions about this? I'm pretty sure that any water damage isn't covered in exchanges. I was thinking maybe I should open up my phone and perhaps clean the trackball from the inside?

Wow that is rough Pino, ther is a walkthrough for trackball removal. this is easier then taking the phone apart, let me find it and i will post it. I Have personly done the listed fix here, dissasimbly of the track ball its self is very difficult. I have soaked the whole unit in bleach water and then just watter, making to to get all the bleach off, and making sure to dry it throughly before putting it back in the phone

Is it Red or White wine?? jk. Check the battery first cause they have an indication if you got it wet or not. If the end of the battery is pink then its ok. You can have it replaced..

Odds are even if the battery indicators don't show liquid damage they will probably still figure out it got wet if is smells like Martha's Vineyard. I would make sure nothing else shows Wine if you are going to try and get it replaced.

Solid red will indicate moisture damage and your warranty will be void.

Thanks for the info guys. Good news is that after about a day my trackball is workin fine now. It wasn't too much wine any way. Just hope there isn't long term damage.

In case it fails again. Buy a new battery then replace the phone.
