    Why I downgraded from the new AT&T os

    I went back to cingular .73 because of the following:

    1. Dropped calls starting happening after upgrading to AT&T (Main reason!)
    2. I liked the old T-mob Zen theme with scrolling icons
    3. Calculator looks better
    4. OS seems less buggy
    5. Voice dialing was acting up and being non responsive

    What I miss by downgrading;
    1. Faster thumbnail scrolling on media card



    Not sure if anyone else is seeing these issues, but I am glad I reverted back without a problem!

    sorry can't feel your pain, I may be one of the few but with 1500 min +, went over this month.
    I never had a dropped call.
    I have seen alot of people complain about the dropped call issue, but I was not 1 of them, and I use voice dial every day.

    You can keep the old themes. When I followed the instructions over at the bbforums I was able to keep all my old themes as well as gain some new ones.

    I'm getting ready to do the same thing cause I keep dropping calls too. Hopefully t-mo will update soon I'm getting annoyed with all the dropped calls. I have a theroy that somewhat works for me to keep dropped calls to a minimum. It seems that if I keep my email, text and mms messages empty I won't drop calls as much. Also I notice that I will drop a call if an email or text message comes in while I'm on the phone.

    I have yet to drop any calls with TMO. I guess I'm just lucky here in Phoenix.

    I don't think it has anything to do with where you live or even how many bars you have in your coverage area. In my case I have full coverage and it happens. I posted a while back about dropped calls on the newer 1.XX OS's but I was never able to solve this strange problem that seems to happen just on the newer 1.XX OS's.

    So I went ahead and just finished downgrading back to .73 I couldn't take the dropped calls anymore. Hurry up T-MO!!!!

    I'm getting the dropped calls with T-Mobile and I'm not even using the at&t os. It doesn't seem to matter which BB or phone you're using from what I've seen of other users. It seems to be a T-Mobile issue all around. T-Mobile just doesn't want to admit to the issue. I average 1300 minutes per month and I used less than 200 minutes on my most recent bill because of all of the dropped calls. I'll be checking into plans at Verizon Wireless and at&t.

    My problem with the dropped calls only happens when I upgrade to anything higher then .73
