    go to options then in the options menu hit about < its the first thing in the options menu.. the OS is usually the third line down .. by the way WELCOME TO THE STACKS

    Wow, you guys are fast, thanks for the warm welcome. Seems like there is a newer xxx.154 OS offered. What would be the advantage to upgrading? Or should I just leave it alone?

    Actually it is .109 for the 8100 ( and remember you cannot use 8120 or 8130 OS in your 8100) Each new OS upgrade brings its own little "gifts" and fixes ........

    .96 is a little old but was also very stable - you can browse some of the threads in the 8100 forums for comments from stackers that upgraded and what benefits they saw. Upgrading (and even downgrading) is not real difficult if you decide to take it for a test drive!
