where are my messages and call log?

I realize this is a memory problem and I have pulled the battery several times over the last two days as well as I have a 2GB media card and I have loaded about 20 songs/ringtones onto it. What can I do to speed up my phone and get rid of some of the unnecessary applications that I won't ever use as well as get my messages and call logs to quit deleting on their own? I have the Curve 8310. Thank you!

    Technology tard,
    Jessica

hold down ALT and press L G L G then bring up the menu and hit clear log.

also go to your messages and bring up the menu then view folder. go through each of those folders and delete

if you have programs you dont use, hook up your blackberry to desktop manager and goto apploader. uncheck all the language files and programs you dont use

    Dear Tapout,
I have completed all of the above mentioned tasks and my system just rebooted (this is my trying to appear I know what in the hell I'm talking) and I hope that the silly little hour glass thing stays away from now on (see right back to tardville) and I checked my status to see my free space and it read the following
    File free 8229208
    file total 54919168

    Is this good?

    thanks again!

Wow that is really low. I would highly see what you have installed on your phone. Also make sure you don't still have music or a ton of pictures on the internal memory of the phone. Either that or you have a ton of themes / apps loaded on your phone. There is a guide on this forum to thoroughly clean your memory out via a OS wipe by deleting unnecessary files. After I did that I haven't had any issues with memory and actually ended up having more than I ever did before.

As Cliff said follow this thread http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...call_logs.html

Since you have a memory card make sure all pics are transfered to it and open the camera and hit menu, options, store pictures to memory card. This will make sure they save automatically to the SD card. then go into media, pictures, menu, options and set device memory limit as low as can be (12MB i think) and reserved picture memory to 0 then save. This should help some.

    Hi Jessica,

You also mention applications. What apps are installed that you do not want and have you installed extra apps?
