    ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~ Sorry to hear about your problems but you should have gone with a warranty replacement which is less than $20 shipping. I have had 10 devices in 2 years with my current and 2nd Pearl being 3 months old. I wish you hadn't given up.

    Excellent News! Error 543 I can do something about.

    Instructions:

    1. Open Blackberry Desktop Software
    2. Uninstall and reinstall Blackberry Device Software from your device

    If that hasn't fixed it proceed to here:
    3. Delete all data from the device

    4. Clean Install of Device software

    If that does not fix it then you need a new device, this is the official fix for error 543.

    I believe it is a different error than 543. "a message came across my screen that read JVM Error 547"

    I found this old, old post by hayden here http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com/12540-post1.html that has a list of the jvm error codes...not sure since it's so old if they the error codes are the same or if it depends on the device...but having this would come in handy if any stackers come across these errors in the future. Does this list still apply? If not is there a newer? BTW: thanks for that post hayden, very informative.
