What OS can I safely run
I am with TMo in the states and I have a 8100. I see lots of people using different OS's. I want to do something different but I do not want to be resetting it 10 times a day.
I love this website
You can use the newest official one: OS 184.108.40.206 Rel. 81 - It works perfect :-) I use this OS together with my 8800 and T-Mobile in Germany!
Or just stick with your current OS.
220.127.116.11 on the AT&T is stable. No need to fix what isn't broken.

I'm running the OS 18.104.22.168 Rel. 81 on T-Mobile and have had no problems. I think it's just as stable as the current official T-Mobile release and has a number of really nice features. It's a worthwhile upgrade, in my opinion. I needed the upgrade to work around an incompatibility with my Jabra BT8040, but having done it, I would do it just for the new features.
Caveats: There is some software that won't work with 4.5, and doing brain surgery on your Pearl has some risks. Your level of risk aversion may determine your choice.
Indeed, I'm not that desperate for the vid recording. I'm gonna wait; plus, i just heard that the updates are coming hopefully in two weeks. <----crosses fingers and everything possible. Damn you AT&T gimme my damn update already you bastards!!!
