Voice Dialing Issues (Unable to allocate memory)

    Hello all,

For some reason when I went to use Voice Dialing today I got the following error message:

"Unable to allocate memory. Close other applications and try again."

However, the only applications open are: Phone, Messages, Home Screen and Browser - which are the default 4 always running.

I do have a 1GB microSD card, so I'm not sure if that's causing issues (even though Voice Dialing did work prior to today with the mSD card installed).

    Any ideas?

Re: Voice Dialing Issues (Unable to allocate memory)

Alright, I was able to resolve the issue by removing the batter and putting it back in.

Apparantly the phone keeps a cache running (even through programs aren't open), of stuff like photo prreviews, etc. Then after the phones' been on for a while it runs out of memory.

So my NEW question is, is there any way to purge the memory of the phone without taking the battery out? Or is there a way I can allocate more stuff to be stored to my memory card, rather than the internal memory?

    Phone memory or BlackBerry memory?

I've had this a couple times too, but I just reboot. Easy and quick.
