yous hould get the bb browser as long as you have the data plan and are activated/registered.

    See thread:

No BlackBerry comes provisioned with a browser.

The browser will be pushed OTA upon BIS/BES activation, which can only occur with a BlackBerry Data Plan.

Step #1 - buy a BlackBerry Data Plan

    Step #2 - activate a BIS/BES account

Step #3 - enjoy your BlackBerry

Thanks for youtr comments all. However, I have a data plan and can browse using the vodafone browser it comes packaged with but not the BB brower itself as this is not installed. I have an active account too

Log in to your BIS account and send the service books (option on left hand side menu list).

If this does not push a browser, then I would suggest calling in to your carrier's support centre.
