    Viewing Microsoft Office Files

My dad is thinking about getting the pearl, but first he wants to see how to transfer Microsoft Office Documents using the Pearl, and also viewing them on the Pear. I was wondering what app's I would need for this, and if it's free.

    Re: Viewing Microsoft Office Files

You can view Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files without any additional software. If you want to edit the files you would need 3rd party software. eOffice can do it, but its not cheap.

Where do I save the document to? I tried saving it under a new folder but the BB doesn't pick it up.

I think, even with the pearl, you still need to email these as Attachments to your BB.

Alecz: you can download efile for free. To transfer the file I use efile's desktop version to convert and sync with the Pearl. Next time I use DM to sync the Pearl, the files are dowmloaded. No data plan required
