    I got my 1 gig memory card today. But I noticed that when I went to put a video on it there was no "Video" section in my device memory. I tried copy and pasting it into the videos section but that didn't seem to work either

    What should I do?

    Alecsz, What type of file are you trying to copy over to the card? I assume you have a Pearl?
    Did you convert the file?

    Yes the file is .avi and I got it to play on my pearl. But sometimes the desktop manager does not detect my media card, or at least that's what it seems like. Is this a problem with my media card?

    Re: Videos

    Come to think of it, I had some initial issues with the card. At first, I had placed the card on the plastic connector and then locked it in with the metal slide. I found out, that you can place the card into the metal slide, push it down, and then slide the metal piece to lock it in place. Hope this helps. BTW, I use a Kingston 1GB microSD w/o any issues.

    I slid it in then locked it, I'm going to take it out and put it back in and see what happens

    once you lift the slide/lock piece, place the card into the metal piece. Then push it down and lock it in place.

    Sounds like you have NOT turned on the Media Card on the Pearl. If you did, that would create default folders on the chip, MP3, Videos, Photos and Ringtones.

    Go to:

    <Settings>

    <Advanced Options>

    <Media Card>

    And turn on Media Card Support, Mass Storage Mode Support

    and say "Yes" to auto enable mass storage.

    Make sure to hit escape key [right of trackball] to save the settings.

    By the way, to transfer files on to the Pearl, do NOT open Desktop Manager. Simply connect your Pearl with the USB cable. That will open up your Pearl as a drive [via Windows XP].

    Then you should see the default folders. Copy and paste to your heart's content.

    Doing transfers this way is 10x faster than doing so through Desktop Manager.
