    Video problems: smaller than usual

I wanted to use a program from Dollar5 called MediaPlayer for the 8100 but it required 4.2.1.107 and I had [I think] 4.1.something so I decided to update my OS to the 4.2.1.107 (downloaded from the T-Mobile support section). Well, after downloading and installing MediaPlayer my video that I wanted to play on my Pearl, a video called Shooter, suddenly got a lot smaller. Instead of taking up the entire screen area (in the BB media player) it takes up a small square on the screen. Wow.

So, I decided to do a restore (backup of 4.2.1.107 was done at time of update) and the issue still remains.

I then downloaded another media player called x-Player, which like MediaPlayer, boasts full-screen support, but I still cant get the video to play like it used to.

So, I re-ripped the DVD, re-encoded it to a high-quality AVI, then used SUPER(c) to encode it to the compatible format, AVI h.263, 14.985 FPS, about 500kbps, and 192kbps audio, which is what I had before without an issue.

I can't seem to get the video to play at the size it used to, and I noticed also that the synchronization was off this time around and only x-Player could play it perfectly synced. So, I went through the whole process again, issue is still there. I am rather annoyed. I want my old OS back, but I can't find a place to download it. Everything was fine before I used MediaPlayer.

    Help please!
