    Video Files for my pearl

Hi.....can anyone tell me which all video files can be placed by BB.
Where can i find good movies that can be played on BB.
I do not have data connection. Is it possible to copy it from my PC.

Also, I am looking for protection cover for my pearl?
Any suggestion? I have a leather cover but that it too tight to hold down
the roller ball on BB. What abt the screen protection? Are there any
    site that provide them.

you can encode the videos yourself (The Original: video encoding for pearl) or you can download the desktop manager 4.2 sp2, which includes Roxio media manager, that allows you to place videos onto your phone and have it automatically encoded , all in one step.

Re: Video Files for my pearl

    Rush.... Welcome!

RE Video - To answer your question, the following Video formats are supported:
    • MPEG-4 Part 2 - Simple Profile + bvops (including DivX files in this format)
    • H.263 Profile 0 and Profile 3
The following Video file extensions are also supported:
    • .avi containing MPEG4 Part 2 and H.263
    • .mov containing MPEG4 Part 2 and H.263
    • .3gp containing MPEG4 Part 2 and H.263
    • .mp4 containing MPEG4 Part 2 and H.263
    • .m4v containing MPEG4 Part 2 and H.263
    • .mpg containing MPEG4 Part 2 and H.263
Actually if you download the newest desktop manager it has a Roxio Video included - it is your best bet. I have tested it and it converts easily and seems to work well. You can also use Seabyrds Blackberry Video Converter - also works well...

And yes, you will copy from your PC using these programs and your usb cable.

For protection - I prefer Best Skins Ever (BSE) - it is a replaceable clear protective cover that protects the surface and screen. Cost approx $7.00. http://www.bestskinsever.com/servlet/StoreFront Order 3 and shipping is free and you will be all set!

    Have fun discovering your pearl!

Thanks buddy....that was quick and informative.

Reg video - Just wanted to confirm that new Desktop manager would do the work. I just need to get it installed on my PC and drag .avi files into Roxio Video. Thats it? Nothing to be done on BB.

Thanks for the info for protective cover.

Re: Video Files for my pearl

Actually when you launch the media manager in desk top manager with the new version it will launch the Roxio Converter -- it is pretty simple from there. If you are planning to copy a movie from a dvd I have read some folks recomend dvd shrink to rip the dvd first....
