    Very unstable 8220

I had accidentally dropped my 8220 and for some reason the phone had shut off. On trying to reboot the phone, the screen would trip out into odd colors and then just shut off. I managed to reload the OS and then it would start up ok with the T-Mobile logo, but then the screen fades out from top to bottom, not like the normal gradient...

On top of that, when I hold the end-call/power button... sometimes the screen turns on, but it quickly fades out. What is going on?!

Can anyone help me get my 8220 working again?

I think you broke something when our dropped it. If a reload of the OS didnt help then your probably toast. Sorry dude

Like a screen connector of some sort, I assume? ugh... If that's the case, FML.

The phone was purchased second hand, so at this rate, there's nothing to "loose" really... but I may look into that and maybe parts...

If anyone knows any other possibilities, it'd be appreciated.

Anyone have any idea if someone has a guide to taking apart the 8220? Cause it seems something got damaged in the top clamshell but the bottom seems ok.

The repair shops online sadly just have the plastics, but no screens or anything... so if anyone has info on that, it'd be greatly appreciated.

GaryF: I have searched high and low on any video site out there and no one has a disassembly video, however there are plenty of review videos.

Sometimes my screen would go to black. I assumed this was a part of the whole rebooting issue that I was having.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm. . . interesting information. I don't know if I want to risk that procedure. LOL. It seems like an operating system problem.
