    I have the 4.2.1.107 plat. 2.3.0.83 on my 8100

is the newest from rogers (4.2.1.109; Platform: 2.3.0.85) any better?

or should I stick with what I got?

also what DM should I get?
( i assume the v4.3 b25 with Media Manager English would be my best bet?....but then again you know what happens when you Assume.....)

You won't see any drastic changes from .107 to .109. It might be better to wait for 4.5 which I am doing.

    I use DM 4.2 sp2.

I would upgrade specially if your provider has a newer OS for your device, I don't know exactly what improvements on this new os, but most of the time if you have the latest os from your carrier the better.

I usually check out anything new to see how it affects what I really use, and only go for it if there is a concrete reason.

I *would* suggest you keep your original OS handy... Just find out which one actually does work the best. My 8100 had 4.2.0.42, put of the box, and was problematic. I tried .64, .9x(Rogers), AT&T, and .107(TMO). Found out .64 was the absolute best, on my device.

As mentioned above, I don't think it's that much of a noticeable difference. I would think with .107.

I recommend sticking with what you have, any problems that could arise wouldn't be worth the hour it would take to perform it. I say stick with it and then install the next 4.5 OS when it comes out, it's been much awaited, and with me using a 8120 now (I used to have a 8100) there is so much of a difference between 4.2 and 4.3, that once 4.5 comes out, I'm installing it as soon as possible! Just to let you know, don't install 4.3 on your 8100, that WILL cause problems, if it even lets you do it.

Also, look at it this way, if it's not broke, don't fix it.

The bold is an ATT release, TMO is releasing 3G, and you can still get a bold, but there is a version coming out for Tmo and I recommend you wait for that one.
