    Updating my OS

I'm somewhat new to the BlackBerry world and I have a question. I own a BlackBerry 8100 Pearl, and I was wondering how I go about finding out the BB OS and how to upgrade it... If there is one for it.

    Thanks!

Well I'm on my BB but if you click on the 8100 and 8110 forum link there are links at the top and they have the most current os for your carrier and I would just search for the thread how to upgrade my os sorry I can't post the links~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

The latest BETA release for your device is 4.5.0.52. Since you're new to BlackBerry I would NOT recommend you messing with any beta releases. If you do decide to go ahead and upgrade your OS, you are doing so at your own risk and could mess up your device, voiding your warranty.

Having said all that, you can google that release number to find the download for your device and go to the following link for instructions on how to upgrade your device:

~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~although the 4.5 Beta OS has some bugs and issues, its totally worth it, better browser, A2DP, Html Email, its just better lol, and its not too tough to upgrade, just follow the instructions carefully and be patient, good luck!!

Ah! I see it. Should I upgrade from 4.2.1.94 (Platform 2.3.0.77) to the Beta?
