Check this thread, it has a OTA link for BB messenger.

Your lag was probably due to low device memory. Clear out the memory and unwanted apps and messages and your internet cache. Then you should be fine.

Thanks Red! I actually noticed my lag when using apps change when I deleted all the axtra junk, but what really bothered me was the phone lag I had when someone called me. There was up to a 4 second delay when they called and I could hear them but they couldn't hear me. I got hung up on a couple of times because of it.....

Thanks for the info!!! This site rules!

Ok I tried using that link and it replied

"Notice your wireless service provider does not allow access to blackberry messenger for your device."

By the way as far as I know my pearl is brand new never been used from the Tmobile store.

    Now what should I do?????

EDIT: I can't seem to find it right now.
Maybe you accidentally unchecked the BB messenger box in the app loader? See if it's still there.

Also did you re-send your service books after you updated to the Cingular OS?

I will check on thos things. What OS should I upgrade to? I have done a ton of reading and am more confused. Should I just go for the .94 upgrade and get it over with or stick with .71?

What do you think Red? One thing I dont want is PTT....

Yeah that is a known issue with the 4.2.0.64 S/w version which should be remedied on Tmo's next s/w release. White pearl has the same OS, so your wife is just lucky not to have the issue.
