    Uninstalling an application

This is probably already posted somewhere but I can't find it. I installed an application today and now decided I don't need it. When I go to Options>Advanced>Applications it's not listed. I hook it back up to the Desktop manager and its not listed in there either.

I guess I should mention that I installed the app using my mac and PocketMac SyncManager. I did find the app in the list in that software and click on uninstall. It shows successful in the software, but the app is still on the blackberry.

It's not a HUGE deal, but is still annoying and I want to avoid clutter as much as possible.

    Thanks!

you may have to delete the module as well, go to options>advanced>applications
then hit menu then modules and see if there is a module that corresponds to the app, if so highlight it and hit menu then delete.
    followed by a batt pull.
phone on batt out 30 sec then back in.
    hope this helps

While we're at it I accidentally changed the default permissions.. Does anybody know what they are when you first get the blackberry?

    Re: Uninstalling an application

I hit the menu button under modules and this is what I get:
    View Properties
    Edit Permissions
    Edit Default Permissions
    _____________________
    Switch Application
    Close

My default permissions look like this now:

    Connections Allow
    Interactions Allow
    User Data Allow

    Is that ok?

Thanks so much! I feel so dumb, but I'm a total newb to Blackberry

    Re: Uninstalling an application

    no worries.

ok I see the problem in modules.
you need to scroll down to the one you need to delete. then hit menu.
the ones from RIM can't be deleted. therefore no delete option

for interactions hit menu then expand.
    mine is set for
allow on all except device settings, that one says prompt. that means it will ask you if an application is allowed to change a small setting in the device. It just ensures your apps can't change without your permission.
also security timer reset also says prompt.

    all others say allow

    hope this helps
    post back!
