Question Uncaught Java Error -NullPointerException - Address Book

I had problems today doing my sync with my contacts. So I did a battery pull after which I received the error "Uncaught Java Error -NullPointerException" I checked my ALT LG log and found the error is as follows:

    S Java Exception-NullPointer Exception - Severe Error
    Address Book Collection

Is there a way to correct this without doing a wipe?

    Thanks!

have you tried doing another sync or a restore from a backup?
that, I think, would clear up any errors you may have.
especially the restore from a backup.
hope you've been making backups they always come in handy.
let me know what you find out about it

I run Missing Sync on a Mac - so my backups are of my entire system on my external HD. I've tried running another sync but continue to get the error. It asks to delete contacts.

I don't know about the mac version, but with the PC version of desktop manager you can selectivly retore parts of your backup.
It's under the options part of the restore
sorry didn't read that very well the frst time I posted this response...
do you have any friends on a PC with Desktop manager?
if so you should be able to take one of your backup .ipd files and selectivly restore using someone's PC...
worth a shot. other then that I'm not sure y you would be having this problem.
there must be something corrupt in the file your trying to sync with...
even though you get this error can you still access your address book and contacts?
