    Hi pinstack,

    These threads have been really helpfull. But I still have aleast one issue. I just got a 8100 pearl and I am trying to get it working properly. My latest issue is sending email. When I send email from the device it gets bounced back to me with a delivery failure. But the email address that I am trying to send to gets bounced back with a random string appended to the front of the email address.

    bowillis, Welcome to PinStack.

    I've never seen this problem, but will take a cut at helping. Is this email from your BB email address, or one that you added to your BIS? What carrier are you using?

    Additionally, it will really help us help you if you take the time to fill in your PinStack Profile with the information concerning your device, Model, OS and Platform (Found on Options/About), BES Status, Location, and Carrier. Depending on the question, each of these may have an impact on how we respond.

    Let us know if there is anything else we can do to help with this problem or your BB.

    Well,

    I talked to lotus, RIM, and Cingular all day today. Finally somebody gave me something. My version of the BES 2.2.0 may be the problem. They suggested that I upgrade to at least 2.2.7. I am trying that now. I hope this works.

    Well .. it took some time... but the upgrade worked for me.. the Blackberry Pearl with a 2.2.7 BES only works with Domino 7.0 and below. To get the device to work with and later version of Domino, then the BES would have to be upgraded to BES 4.1. Eventually I will need to convince the guys that handle the budget to pay for the upgrade to the BES. But untill then I will be going with what works..
