    Unable to send via AIM/MSN/ICQ error4705

    Greetings,

    I bought an unlocked TMO Pearl from a coworker yesterday and have it setup on my Cingular account.

    All data works flawlessly, web, via USB dialup on my laptop, email, sms email.

    But when I try to use the "OZ instant messaging" tool to use AIM or MSN it gets to 20%, and I get an error stating it could not connect.

    Then the kicker: I get a message from number 1121611611 stating: 4705 Error Invalid Number, Please re-send using a valid 10 digit mobile number.


    I have googled and searched the forums till my eyes bled.

    Any experts have an idea?

    Welcome to the Stacks Rasmus. the OZ messenger is a TMobile product so it is probably looking for a valid TMO phone number. Just so you know, OZ uses text messaging and not data. You may want to consider some of the other IM clients that use data such as Jivetalk or IM+.

    yea, when u message on OZ, it charges you one text message per message (so you should sign up for the any 400 messages $4.99 which is a great deal since i do alot of texting)
