Thumbs down Two Missed Calls Absolutely NOT Clearing - Verizon Said Needs Hard Reset?

I have a BlackBerry Pearl 8130 and I have two missed calls in the top of the home screen that absolutely will NOT go away! I have cleared everything, marked all read, even taken it to Verizon. They said it's because of my "iPhone theme" of course and that voids my warranty, lol. I figured they would come up with something like this. So anyway what options do I have from here?

I'm okay with backing everything up but how I back up EVERYTHING onto my desktop manager, every application, every contact, etc.

Is there really no other way of getting around this? Thanks!

Have you tried clearing your phone logs with desktop manager?

Go into Back up / Restore - Advanced, and scroll down to Phone Call Logs and hit CLEAR.

Themes do not void the warranty. I have sent many BB's back with different themes and haven't had them charge me for that.

Is there anyway to back up all of my contacts and my applications onto my desktop without having to reinstall every single one onto my new replacement Pearl when it comes in the mail? Thanks!

    MJH,

Use the switch device wizard in desktop manager - works like magic!

MJH if you have desktop manager installed in your computer open it up.
Once your DTM is up and running plug in the USB cable into both the PC and BB.

When the DTM finishes recognizing your BB and it displays your PIN as the active device, then go ahead and select the Backup/Restore Icon.

A new window will populate with 4 available buttons to choose from. Backup, Restore, Advanced, and Options.

Selecting Backup will save all current settings, contacts, browser options, call logs, messages, etc. but will not back up any 3rd party applications that have been installed.

If you would like to cherry pick which files, settings, etc. to back up then select the Advanced icon. You will then be able to choose specific files to back up. (i.e. just the Contacts).

Once you choose either Backup or Advanced, It will then prompt you to select a location for you to save your backed up files. Preferably selecting a folder which is easily accessible, like my documents would be recommended. You will notice that the file being saved has the current days date but you may change the name of the file to whatever you'd like.

After you have completed your Handheld wipe, reconnect your BB to your PC and once you have selected the backup/restore button,
Select the Restore icon. A window will populate and you will have to find the saved backup file you stored in your hard drive.

Find it, select it, and your restore process will begin.

I hope this helps, good luck!
