Trying to connect to Internet BB 8100

I've just purchased a BB 8100 and I'm finding it pretty impossible to access
the internet? I have tried lots of different things from Forum suggestions and trouble shooting but the problem is that I don't have a bookmark option at all. I tried going to the Browser and entering my user name and password but it just takes me to a menu with :

    Services
    E-Mail accounts

    Settings
    Change handheld
    Language
    Password
    Service Books

    Help
    Logout

I tried clicking on Menu on the left of centre but it doesn't give me an option for connecting to web pages or bookmarks? I have wireless enabled. I'm not too clear as to whether I have to connect to my ISP which is "Tiscali" or whethe I have to get another account somewhere so that I can access the net. I'm on T-Mobile by the way. At the moment my email from Yahoo are coming through fine.

    Can anyone help?

    Many thanks
    Regards Steve.

why do you need to enter a username and password for your browser. try resending your service books and try re-registering with the network

You are connecting to your carrier's BIS login page. That is where you log in with your username and password and manage your web client account.

Have you already signed up for a data plan?

Re: Trying to connect to Internet BB 8100

    Call Tmobile...

When the voice prompt comes on say "blackberry support"

When the CSR comes on the line, ask them if your account is provisioned for the "BlackBerry Data Package".

If no, then tell them you need to add that to your account. It will be an additional $19.99+tax a month.

BTW, This IS a personal device right and not company issued?

    Duh...My bad...

If you don't want to talk to anyone, go to www.tmobile.com, log in, go to your account/add on's/plans whatever it is called, and you can probably add also from there.

N8, will www.tmobile.com work for TMO UK customers?
