    Took the Plunge

I just ordered a new Pearl! After leaving my precious Blackberry for an MDA for 8 months ago I'm excited to be back. The MDA for what it is isn't a bad machine it just isn't a Blackberry no matter how you mod it.

I do have some questions that I haven't seen the answers to yet.....

Is it possible to store PDF files on the msd card and attach them to outgoing emails?

Is it possible to save PDF and other files from incoming emails to the msd card?

Has anyone overclocked a Pearl yet?

Can you store and run apps/progs from the msd card?

    TIA!

You can store files on the media card, but I don't think you can attach them. I've never used MMS, but if someone else has, perhaps they know if you can "attach" a file to the message.

Hammerhead, as you read this, mentally picture me taking my foot out of my mouth, because that's where I put it on my first reply.

I'm using a Sprint 8830, and when composing an email, I have the option of adding an attachment from either the device memory or an external storage card. I'm not familiar with the Pearl, so I can't speak specifically about that device. Maybe other Pearl users can check this out and let you know. I apologize for the wrong information! Doh!

I recall a thread where someone said you could store .jad files on your memory card, and when you select them via the media player, they would attempt to install. The thread was about converting .jad files to .alx or .cod for use with Blackberry.

If it works, it would be a neat way to have access to an application you might use only sporadically. Install it from memory, use it, delete it, and keep going.
