When I googled this error, the majority is for GMAPS. Does anyone know if this is this a google maps problem? Is it trying to start up on a reboot?
Best way is to uninstall google maps, and see if that helps...

    That didn't fix it.

Also, now when I try to connect to Device manager, it is giving me a communication error. I have rebooted both the BB and PC. Help!

Do exactly as it says. It may take a few tries so don't be discouraged. Eventually, after much sweating, it will work.

I have always had best luck installing a new OS if I have gone to the trouble to actually uninstall any previous OS from my PC first. My unscientific impression is they muck each other up if you don't.

I may have gotten lucky... I uninstalled Autolock on the BB, rebooted and the error is gone!
Tried a different USB cable, cycled through a couple of usb ports and it is now connected. Whew!!

I do remember during the upgrade process it asked if I wanted to allow Autolock access to my phone records, and I remember telling it NO a couple of times... Should I have allowed it???

Can't wait to try .107 out. Haven't really experienced any problems with .103 yet but I always try to stay updated unless I experience probs and so far none yet (crosses fingers).

Yeah, we've got a lot of threads posted about this already.

So how do you find the OS, running smoothly so far?

the only problem i had with 103 was that once i updated my myfaves werent on my phone for about an hour or so. after that got resolved i havent had any problems. I am debating to see what everyone continues to say about 107 to see if it is worth it or not since everything seems to be working fine for me on 103

The hourglass I was talking about in my earlier post wasn't while upgrading.. It's while browsing.. It'll freeze, then the hourglass flaages on and off the screen.. Had to battery pull for it to stop.. Anyone ever get that?

Doesn't happen everytime I browse or anything. But still, it gets annoying..

No call blackout/dropped calls for me either. I couldn't even hold a single call on any of the other OS's > .73 and < .107.

Search the forum for dead blackberry, theres very detailed instructions on how to get it up and running. It happened to me a while ago and I followed the instructions, worked great.
