Go into options, advanced options, service books and delete the 2 tzones books (should be tmo usa wap browser config and/or tmo usa wap BC04 browser config) Once deleted go into options, advanced options, host routing table, menu, register now. Once you get the registration message pull the battery. When it comes up you should be good to go with only one tzones.

Well I took the plunge last nite and put this on my AT&T Pearl. So far so good. I can still tether, all my BBM and PTT contacts are there, blahzeblahz. Only thing I'm a little disappointed in, is that I can't make folders! That'd clean up A LOT of my real estate on here. But no complaints, yet...

Well it depends on when you puled the USB cable whether or not you bricked your phone. NEVER pull the usb until after the process is done and it give you the option to close. Just in case you bricked it here is the link that will get you back on track. http://blackberryforums.pinstack.com...uter_wont.html

When you updated and the phone was sitting there your fine to unplug as long as the little red light was NOT on when you pulled it. But pulling that battery Is never a good thing. I think you will be fine though.

my advice when performing an OS update: be patient, and pack a lunch! i keep reading over and over about people not waiting for the phone to complete the whole process and pulling their batteries.

I guess I need to learn patience, and I did get lucky and my phone didn't "snuff it". I did lose my BES link though. I had to reactivate my BES account....... :P
