The reason I am asking is that this kind of stuff (re authentication, issueing a new PW) is a pain and wastes the time of our IT folks. Just trying to set expectations with that group. Thanks!
Every upgrade requires you to resync with BES. You don't need a new password though. It usually resyncs automatically (keep it plugged in after the upgrade until it's done, watch it through the options/advanced/enterprise activation). Sometimes the activation doesn't work and I just delete the service books starting with "Desktop" and it automatically reinitializes BES. Key is keep it plugged in when you are connected to your work message system (VPN in if necessary).

    Hope that helps.

So to confirm, whereas the .103 upgrade required a new password, the .107 upgrade will not so long as I remain tethered to my VPN'd notebook. I do remember upgradeing to .64 and I did not need a new password, it was "automatic". I just didn't want to do the upgrade this weekeknd and not have messaging capability until I got a hold of our IT support group (who are not all that "happy" that I upgraded the device to .103 in the first place....).

Okay....I resolved the problem by going to the TMo site directly and downloading from there. So it was a false alarm! TMO has not pulled 107. I'm going to install it tomorrow and see how it goes.

I've been using .107 for a couple days now and haven't had any issues yet...
But my battery life has decreased...I used to get 36-48 hours between charges...now 24-36.
    Anyone else notice this?

Has any one been able to tether to a Mac with either .103 or .107? I can tether to my PC but I want to use my Mac again! when I try it tells me that my BB isn't new enough and does not have modem capabilities.

is this a rough estimate or is there a way to find this out? i've noticed my battery life decreased when i upgraded to .103. i haven't had time to upgrade to 107 but i will soon and try to give some feedback. unless there are other people out there that have also confirmed this

    .107 sucks.

For us tap keyboardists it has done something to the timing that has made my life hell.

    God dammit.

    Why God.
