    TMO Broken Latch :[

    Good news.

I was taking off my door today to do a battery reset and the latch broke off. That's actually bad news, lol. Then I came on Pinstack to look it up, and I couldn't find my spring that came off that many of the posts were talking about.

I called TMO and my mom bought the phone last December, so it was under warranty :] They are sending me a new, or "like new" (which I am sure looks better than mine, and doesn't have a broken latch), Pearl in 3 days for $15 shipping.

I think that is pretty awesome of TMO to replace it for me.

And the REALLY good news, I am still eligible for my upgrade when I get the Curve on the 24th :]

When I talked to the lady, she said that she had some training with it last week and really liked it...

She also said that the pictures didn't do the gold justice, she said it looked good. :]

Yeah I think it was a known issue with the latch so replacing it is pretty easy. Glad to hear it was an easy process!

My latch broke off and I simply rolled a pice of tape and taped it to the battery, this actually woks really well.

if you have insurance they should reimburse you for that 15 bucks too... you just have to call and complain

It will cost more to deal with it through insurance. The 15 is for expedited shipping.

With a $110 deductible involved which is way more expensive than the $15 shipping.

    NO

    there is no deductible

I work for tmobile, everytime i do a warranty exchange they credit back the price of shipping and handling as long as you actually send the old phone back

    NO DEDUCTIBLE!!!

all you have to do is tell them you have insurance and you want them to pay for the shipping and handeling and they will bill asurion... believe me done it a thousand times
