    Tmo 8100 Shuts Off On Its Own

    my friend has an 8100 on tmo, he has not upgraded or added any apps on the phone besides the trial for jivetalk

    i seen his phone reboot itself over n over n now it doesnt even turn on...

    we connected it thru DM...an it reads his phone, battery is fully charged, and it would work after disconnected from computer....but about an hour after that....its back to shutting itself off

    all the pix have been removed, all caches have been cleared...


    we're stuck..


    any help?

    I would back it up and then reload the OS. Wipe the device and start fresh.

    I agree with Reddog and this could be the perfect chance to instant the 4.5 software. Oh make sure the device hasn't got wet in the back.via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

    Yeah - good point bigmarv- open the battery door and look at water marker. If its pink (or red!) then you may have your answer and some trouble

    Where is the watermark? I don't see any discoloration so I'm guessin I'm good.I did wut you guys mentioned n now everything is fine. Thanx..this had my friend stressin!lol.
