    Re: Time zone problems

I have a similar problem with my pearl. i'm located at pacific time (-8) and the phone seems to randomly switch to eniwetok (-12) this is really annoying having to constantly change timezones.

Ok guys how do you have the Time/Date settings set?

Are you pulling the source from the Network, Blackberry, or None?

Also if you sync your pearl do you have the Update Devices Date and Time checked?

If you have a newer OS then the update is probably integrated into the OS. You don't want to delete it. It's suppose to be there.

Not sure about the DST thing i went to this website and followed instructions:

    http://www.blackberry.com/DST2007/patch/index2.shtml

And when i visit Options at the very top is "2007 DST Patch"
and when i click in it, it says "2007 DST Patch applied."

    i have v4.2.2.96

Not always...when i do a battery pull...the time zone changes...but the network time is the right time.
This is really weired. So every time i have to change the Indiana time zone to Eastern time zone and do "update time"

I found that this problems has been occuring after the using of the iphone zen theme.

After a reset i have to change the time setting and stuff..

    Re: Time zone problems

You may want to switch if over to Network, then hit menu and update time.

    That should hopefully fix it.

    Re: Time zone problems

Not sure if it's default, but I've never had an issue with it being set on Network. As far as I can remember it's always been like that, but I did do a lot of tinkering when I first got my BB last year.
