    Time error since we 'sprung forward'

    As you know, the clocks moved forward by an hour on Sunday morning. On my date/time setup page, I have the phone set to 'Network,' and the network time is the correct one. But my phone's clock never updated - it never moved forward an hour even though the network time is displayed correctly on the setup page.

    The only way for me to get my phone to display the right time is to set it to 'Network' (not a typo) and manually change the phone's time to the correct one. If I set it to blackberry and change the phone's time, it STILL gives the wrong time.

    I want to be on the network time. I have tried multiple power on/off cycles and battery pulls.

    Anyone have any ideas here? Thanks.

    1. Did you download the DST patch? If not do that.

    2. If you've downloaded the DST patch and you're still having that problem (which I did yesterday) you need to change the time under date/time (options) like up it an hour or something, then save...then go back and change it to the right time again and that should force your front screen to the correct time.

    3. If you've tried both and nothing works, then I'm not sure what to tell ya, but I'm sure someone around here does lol.

    Not to my knowledge - I upgraded to the latest firmware on Cingular's website a month ago or so.

    I'm not familiar with the DST patch...

    I'm going to install the DST patch now. I hope it works and doesn't mess anything up.

    I wonder why the time can't update like all other brands of phones...??? How many people install patches on their cell phones???

    Everyone has to download the patch...it's because the government moved up DST 3 weeks...so it doesn't match up with the software on the phones.

    everyone who wished to have their time correct via phone instead of network.

    this year the jump forward and back is set three weeks early. since this is different from the usual, all the phones DST settings are incorrect and needed a patch to make the update. if you didn't install the patch, in 3 weeks time it would've fixed itself.

    also make sure your time zone is correct.

    By that you mean PST, EST etc. (US timezones) ?

    Yep - we're on the same page I guess since Y2K some time back, I've been quick to patch. This DST was a breeze thanks to the availablility of patches and of course the forums
