Question The Nightmare... Pearl in the washer

So! I was looking for my BB and it ended up going through the wash cycle and siting on damp clothing all night. I found it in there, cried bloody murder, took it apart. I have it in a box under a warm lamp to see if it will dry more.

It would not turn on when I tried it (out of the washer).

Any thoughts on what to do next... This is a nightmare >_> !!!!!!

Put it in a bowl of uncooked rice for a couple of days. It helps absorb the moisture. Don't try turning it on for at least a couple of days. I had a coworker do this after she dropped her phone in the toilet and she's been using it for months now with no problem. Good luck.

The berry will most likely turn out ok. Do what was suggested and you will most likely be shocked. The things that are terminal to such electronics is pop and sugars like in coffee and what not. Usually they will bounce back after a a clean water soaking. The only thing that may be in jeopardy is the longevity of the device. One of my friends ran his phone through the whole wash and dry cycle and its still working. Good luck though. Regards cHAd. ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Lol there is starving people in china and we use the rice to dry out our cell phones. Take it apart and Set it in front of a fan (set on high) for a few hours, that's what I did when my daughter poured a cup of water into her gamecube, now it works fine.

Now after I take it out of the rice should I put the same battery in and try to connect it to the wall outlet?

I actually did the same thing washed my pearl in the washer. I took the battery out and sim out and use a blow dryer to dry it. After letting sit for a couple days I actually wrapped my pearl in a couple socks and put it in the dryer and is working great ~via BB (wap.pinstack.com)~

Man that is bad, I always double check my pokets before, I doubt it will work though, sorry! It went through a wash cycle with the baterry inside,I highly doubt it will work, I sure hope you get a miracle, but there is almost not a single string of it working.
