Text Question from new UK user

    Hi All,

Hope you can help me with this one as it's driving me crazy.

The numbers in my Phonebook are in the standard format e.g. 078000*****. When I receive a call the CLI is passed and I get the name of the caller from the Phonebook. However, when the same person sends me a text the CLI that comes is +4478000***** . The Phonebook doesn't know this number so it displays the number not the name in the Phonebook.

The opposite also occurs. So if I store the number in my Phonebook as +4478000**** when I get a text the name of the sender appears but when I get a call from the same person the CLI must be 078000**** and no name is offered as the Phonebook doesn't recognise this number.

I'm probably going to feel real stupid as I guess this is something obvious but its beating me.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Open the phone app (call log) and the menu. Select options then smart dialing. Set you area code and country code to the correct values and save. This should correct your problem
